The Great Wall of China, one of the greatest wonders of the world, was listed as a World Heritage by UNESCO in 1987. Just like a gigantic dragon, the Great Wall winds up and down across deserts, grasslands, mountains and plateaus, the length is about 8,851.8 kilometers (5,500 miles) from east to west of China. With a history of more than 2000 years.
It was built during the Ming Dynasty ( 1368-1644 ) . It starts from Hushan Great Wall in the east to Jiayuguan Pass in the west traversing Liaoning, Hebei, Beijing, Tianjin, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Shaanxi, Gansu and Qinghai.
The number of tourist comming to china expanded from 63.5 million and 97.9 million in 2002 . In 1998 China found US 12.6 Billion , in 2002 They found US 20.4 Billion and In 2003 they found about US 17.4 Billion. China is the top ten world tourist , ranking 5th in number of tourist and 7th income from tourism in 2003.
